The bed is cold
but you must rest
A sweater worn
of fashion sense
Room with view
at your behest,
and lattice weaved
in baby's breath
If you could run
you'd walk with them,
but bide the time
until then
spring looms and blooms
with the scent
of seaside breeze
and baby's breath
Lovely Pam

Thanks again, Max. I mean it…and yes, I plan to stick around for awhile. I’ve been on Reddit, following a murder case. It’s the case where the two girls were out hiking and they were crossing this rickety old bridge and this man started stalking them.
Anyway, suddenly, he’s right there upon them. One of the girls filmed him on her phone. He forced them off the bridge and murdered them. Terrible. Despite the video which was recovered and released, it took them 5 years to make an arrest and 7 years to get a conviction. I was obsessed with the case.
Glad to be back here with you guys. There’s some nice people on Reddit, don’t get me wrong, but there’s a lot of trolls there too.
Yeah, we’re all good here. Thanks for asking.

Ohe geez…I’m glad they got him but yea…that is crazy it took so long. I think I remember Jennifer watching something on that if I’m not mistaken.
Yea I’ve been on Readit a few times but it seems like most of the people (but it does depend on what topic) were far far far leftist….not just liberal.
I miss you and your writing…I will always say you are the best writer on here. I’ve been doing movies recently a lot…I thought of you…of course mine are like I do songs.

Well, that’s a very nice compliment. Thanks. And I don’t like it when you sell your writing skills short. You shouldn’t. You’re a good writer. You get your message across while piquing the readers interest…and you have the following to prove it.
But yeah…there is that far left bent in a lot of Reddit subs, even if the topic isn’t focused on anything political.
Looking forward to reading your movie posts. So much to discuss. Ha! Cheers.

Thanks Pam.
It seems like that everywhere now…hopefully it will die down some soon.
I’ll be seeing you soon Pam!

You are quite welcome Pam 🙂 Seen any new films recently? 🙂 Months ago, I saw an awesome crime thriller entitled Love Lies Bleeding with Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian and Ed Harris 🙂 Anyway, here is a link to the trailer below and tell me If this does not give off an 80’s vibe 🙂

Yeah. It really gives off that vibe, John…late 80s early 90s. Oh my gosh! Ed Harris! He looks awful! I love him. Kristen Stewart is hit or miss with me. I loved her in Adventureland, speaking of 80s vibe…well, it was straight up set in the 80s. Have you seen it? It’s a great film. The director, Greg Mottola, also did Confess, Fletch, which I liked sooo much better than Chevy Chase vehicle, Fletch.
Anyway, I’m definitely all in for Love Lies Bleeding. Can’t wait to see it.
I’ve been watching a lot of noir lately. I watched Sudden Fear with Joan Crawford the other night. Wonderful flick. Director David Miller really played to all of Crawford’s kinks in this one. The leg shots, the backless dresses, Crawford’s athleticism, her outward expression of he inner monologue. It’s all there! The camp. The melodrama. It’s a beautifully filmed noir.
This weekend, Lord willing, I’m going to see Sean Baker’s Anora in the theater. I can’t wait. He’s one of my favorite directors.

Hey Pam 🙂 I know that Katy O’Brian (she plays the bodybuilder) has been singled out as the breakthrough performer in the film, but everyone is great in it, including Kristen Stewart, who has come a long way since Twilight 🙂 So has Robert Pattinson, but that is for another topic 🙂 I have seen Adventureland and it was pretty good and I have seen the films of Greg Mottola as well 🙂
Love Lies Bleeding was distributed by A24 and they have put out titles like Hereditary, Parasite (I think) and The Zone of Interest to name just a few. Given that Love Lies Bleeding is an exceptional crime thriller, one could make the case (that is those who have seen it) that like all of A24’s films, Love Lies Bleeding is a mainstream film with an art house sensibility.
I too love Sudden Fear Pam 🙂 I could not have stated what you said any better regarding all of the tropes 🙂 Beautifully filmed noir is what it is indeed as you so eloquently state 🙂
Anora is one of my favorites of the year, so yes, please see it whenever you get the chance and I too love the films of director Sean Baker 🙂

I don’t hold the Twilight film series over Kristin Stewart or Robert Pattinson. Pattinson broke out faster, but he was offered better roles and he took advantage of his opportunities.
Stewart has had a slower assent and I blame that on the sexism of the film industry. Yes, she was terrible in the Twilight saga and so was Pattinson (she was worse) and they were terrible films.
But Stewart was really good in an underseen/underappreciated film called Undertow that came out years before Twilight. She was very young in the film, her role was small and she was brilliant in it. She really stood out. I expected great things from her…I think a lot of people in the industry did too.
It’s taken her a long time to recover from the Twilight debacle–I think it damaged her confidence–but she’s been on an upward trajectory for awhile now. She was very good in Still Alice and Personal shopper. And I really liked her in Underwater, a film that I think has been unfairly maligned.
