I listened to this and commented on the other post, Pam.
Best wishes, Pete.

Excellent Pam! I love the jazzy feel and your voice fits it great. I think I may surprise you…I liked all the songs. From Dylan on…I can take 80s music also and disco in measures.
What is that song after Dylan? I’ve heard it but cannot place it. Also the Roy Orbison song and Jumping Jack Flash…I got chills when they popped up for some reason. They all blended great with you as the glue in spots.

Oh great! So happy you liked it Max!
My husband thought my voice was a little over the top. I respect his opinion sense he was a professional announcer. I was going for a dramatic, kind of a cheeky 50’s femme fatal vibe. I’m a little rusty on my delivery and interp and my southern accent bleeds through too much, but I think I’m on the right path of where I want to go.
The song you were asking about is Souxsie and the Banshee’s version of Iggy Pop’s The Passenger. I used a snipet of Iggy’s in my voice over. I love both versions and I, Tonya the film is awesome.
I think you got the chills thinking about the movie scenes in Mean Streets and Blue Velvet. Those are perfect needle drops. Extremely powerful.

I could not tell the southern part at all…if it was the jazz counteracted it. I’ve almost lost mine…unless I get excited and it will slip out. You said it in there with the Tonya Harding but I didn’t put it together. I listened to it while finished a floor in my headphones…the quality was great. That surprised me that it sounded just as good as a CD.
Mean Streets…I covered that a few months ago and yes…that movie is just incredible. Speaking of Lynch…Bailey is at the Bel-Court today watching Eraser Head.

Oh…my husband loves that movie. I appreciate it for its absurdist, body horror surrealism–Lynch’s boldness– but I don’t like it. (If ever there’s a movie that’s not for everyone, Eraser Head is it. I Love the Bel-court, though.

Oh yes I agree. It’s an aquired taste no doubt. After I watched it…I wanted to watch it again…just to make sense of it but then I realized…there is no sense you are getting out of it…thats the movie.
We saw Super Fly there.
